Welcome to White Cliffs, Australia
Earlier this year I was sent to Australia to be a part of a few travel films for Allianz Insurance. This short film about the town of White Cliffs was produced by Vice Berlin, with yours truly as the host.
White Cliffs was a really unique town that reminded me a bit of the gold rush ghost towns of California and Nevada, except that White Cliffs is very much alive. The inhabitants of White Cliffs are independent miners that have come here to mine for opal. I was only in town for a day to shoot this film, but I very much would have liked to stay a while to explore and photograph this one of a kind town. We even stayed the night at the White Cliffs Underground Hotel, a cool cave hotel dug out of the hillside. I never slept better than I did that night in my own private cave!
